Scenic Sipping: Chateau on the Park

As the sun goes down, many of us come out to play. Christchurch is full of go-to places to indulge, although some set the scene better than others.

One of those is Chateau on the Park, a charming place to meet, greet and eat, especially outdoors on warm summer days and nights.

Tucked away just off Deans Avenue, it is home to the Garden Court Brasserie, where terraced landscaping, the beautiful garden, and multiple seating areas set the scene.

Enjoy a high tea in the picturesque rose garden, currently in full bloom, and the surrounding grounds to kick back and relax during the day.

Another option is to totally indulge in a ‘Sunset Session’, with a drink in hand, and acoustic music playing while watching the sun go down.

Plan B – enjoy a day out with with friends and family, or a special occasion, and do both in this amazing setting.

SUNSET SESSIONS
Having fully emerged from social hibernation, it’s time to make the most of longer days and later sunsets.

For a laid-back evening experience, a romantic date night, or any special occasion, head to Chateau on the Park for its popular Friday night Sunset Sessions.

These special sessions feature live music from talented local bands, and vocalists, a variety of tasty tapas (including bao buns, blue cod tacos, dim sim and more), crafted by talented chefs. On top of that, indulge your taste buds with uniquely designed cocktails including a Pineapple Daiquiri, and Lemongrass Gin Tonic.
Take in the scenery, enjoy the music, the ambience, and bask in the late afternoon sun until it vanishes over the horizon.

Whatever your occasion, the Chateau is an ideal relaxed, yet sophisticated, place to head along to and enjoy an outdoor dining treat this summer.

Sunset Sessions are every Friday from 4pm to 7pm, and a Garden High Tea is available daily, from midday to 4pm.
