Location, location, location

So the proposal is locked in, and you’ve set the date. But now another question arises: Where should you tie the knot? Luckily, Canterbury is home to an array of urban and rural venues which will ensure a memorable day for all. Not to mention those locations on our doorstep, too.

WINERY WONDERLAND
Christchurch’s proximity to some of the best vineyards in the world has not escaped many couples getting married here. Whether it’s the sprawling options in North Canterbury, or those in Tai Tapu, Ashburton and beyond – a wedding amongst the vines always guarantees a good time.

PENINSULA PICKINGS
The jewel in Canterbury’s landscape crown, Banks Peninsula and its harbour views, jagged hills and rolling farmland paints a perfect background for a perfect day. Take your pick from the bays which piggyback their way from Lyttelton to Akaroa and back again.

INNER CITY MAGIC
Make the most of the new Christchurch with the beautiful gardens and unique mix of modern and historic venues. Photo opportunities with street art, yet-to-be repaired buildings and new architectural wonders abound: And at the rate of change around here, will forever be your own piece of local history.

SOUTHERN SCENES
It’s no secret the scenic wonders which lie south of Christchurch, and many couples make the trip to explore ceremonies and receptions in Tekapo, Queenstown, Wanaka and beyond. A destination wedding is always fun.
