Exciting opportunities: Te Pae Christchurch

It’s been fantastic over the past few months to see international business events returning to our city, and to host several of them at Te Pae Christchurch.

International events are key to driving economic value to our city.

Ross Steele, General Manager

There is a finite number of domestic events available to host and with Tākina in Wellington now open and NZICC in Auckland coming in 2025, it is international events that will see our business and also our city impact grow.

The return of international events has also seen a return to increased sales activity overseas.

We are fortunate in Ōtautahi to have a ‘team Christchurch’ mentality, with a number of businesses and organisations working together to support our city and objectives. It’s one of the things that makes our city special.

For us, this partnership approach was evident during a recent event in London, where we joined with ChristchurchNZ and the Christchurch Foundation to showcase Christchurch to an array of guests who share our commitment to supporting and growing opportunities for our region and its residents.

We will continue to look for these occasions to partner and promote, with the aim of securing conferences and events
that will support our city’s ambitions, because we have a desire to increase awareness of Christchurch internationally and showcase our city as a new and exciting world destination.
