Discover local treasures

With the festive season nearing, thoughts of chaotic Christmas shopping begin to loom. While bustling malls aren’t most people’s idea of fun, there is another way.

Farmers’ markets are traditionally thought of as a place to get fresh produce, but as well as that, they are the perfect spot to find special gifts. North Canterbury is full of markets – and makes for a more relaxing shopping experience. Wander under the morning sun, chat to local vendors and discover unique products.
As well as the markets, North Canterbury is home to many new retailers, including gorgeous jewellers, boutique clothing stores, homeware havens, and so much more.
