Kiwi creations in little river: The Artisan Lab

Over four years of running her Akaroa market stall, Narielle A’Court heard countless tales of tourists buying supposedly “New Zealand-made” items from gift shops, only to discover they were not genuine.

These narratives inspired the glass jewellery artist to establish The Artisan Lab in Little River.

“I thought there had to be an easier way to showcase genuine New Zealand works. We’ve so many talented people out there,” she says.
The Artisan Lab exclusively features 100% Kiwi-made products, with over 45 Banks Peninsula artisans displaying their craftsmanship, including woollens, ceramics, paintings, glass jewellery, earthquake-recycled Rimu wood items, and more. There’s also a diverse range of clothing for all ages, from babies to adults, alongside bags and children’s accessories.

Visit Little River to explore the bespoke boutique and support local artisans with your purchase.
