Editor’s picks:
Welcome to your wardrobe for inner-city life.

Whether you’re more of an early dinner at Bar Franco before your first trip to the stadium kind of girl, or prefer simple Sunday shopping, this guide to getting dressed is for wherever the city takes you.

I’m no cool-as-ice city slicker (I hail from the country) though I’ve been perfecting the art of emulating one for years. A lot of what I love derives from the style I see around me – from chic-as-ever ladies long lunching to mothers juggling groceries, a pram, and a million errands but looking picture perfect beautiful.

Each as cool as the next one, I’ve observed the elements that underpin each look, like an unspoken sartorial rule. A balance of sophistication and edge, refined fabrics and enticing textures, comfort without sacrifice, and accessories that elevate instead of overpower. But what makes each look a winner is the confidence they walk with, and like Coco Chanel said, “The best accessory a woman can wear is confidence.”

What she wears for the city, she finds in the city too – rich wine and chocolate brown hues amongst the latest autumn/winter collections are warm, welcoming, and waiting for you at The Crossing.
