Food heaven on Mandeville St: Mandeville Street Kitchen

Breakfast, morning tea, lunches, and a mid-afternoon sugar fix are all on the menu at a popular Mandeville St café where the food is just like grandmother used to make.

Food is prepared fresh daily at Mandeville Street Kitchen, using owner Sarah-Jane and her team’s tried and true recipes, and the best of local ingredients, in collaboration with Bellbird Bakery.

Open from 7am Monday to Friday for the breakfast crowd, Sarah-Jane and her friendly team offer a changing assortment of delicious sweet and savoury cabinet food, and menu items.

Sit down to a sumptuous breakfast, take away a pick-me-up Prima Roastery coffee and cake, or catch up with a friend for lunch.

Start the day with creamy Greek yoghurt combined with crunchy toasted granola and berry compote, smashed avocado on toast, an omelette à la your filling choice, and eggs any way you choose. Alternatively, sample delicious traditional takes on café food any time until mid-afternoon.

Specialty baking is done on-site, by Tash Grieve of Shortcrumb, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, sugar-free, and keto options. Sarah-Jane and the team also deliver tasty catering essentials, such as scrumptious morning teas, afternoon nibbles platters, and anniversary cakes, for any event. They’ll happily cater for Christmas functions, so get your orders in now.
