Fashion & eco-conscious: Kjole Style

As we all become more aware of the footprint we are making, our purchasing choices are being influenced by product sustainability, says Kjole Style owner Stephanie Suckling. The Hanmer Springs boutique exclusively imports Danish designed clothing labels such as Dranella, Kaffe and Fransa, which is complemented nicely with other brands from a little closer to home.

And just because the brands are on the other side of the world does not mean they are held any less accountable than beloved local labels.

“Our Danish suppliers are very aware of their footprint and put a lot of work into ethical supply chains and sustainability,” says Stephanie.

The Danish suppliers are all members of The Better Cotton Initiative, which is committed to developing cotton into

a sustainable mainstream commodity. The initiative seeks to reduce the stress on

the local environment and create long-term change in the fashion and textile industries.

Stephanie says shoppers can browse the Boulder Point store with peace of mind, because the boutique “prides ourselves in doing our small part towards the environment and sustainability with our clothing.”
