20 minutes could save your life: Annabel Turley
In New Zealand, heart disease kills one person every 90 minutes. Cardiovascular disease can start as early as the second decade of your life and is directly related to your lifestyle choices and genetics.
Our goal is to improve the overall health of New Zealanders while making it as accessible and affordable as possible. CardiAction is a simple screening service that has been designed to detect these normally unseen risk factors and to ensure personalised lifestyle intervention information is available for all Kiwis. We are now able to understand the health of both your heart and arteries by using a scientifically validated TGA/FDA-approved pulse wave analysis (PWA) machine.
PWA works very similarly to a traditional blood pressure test whereby a cuff is attached to your arm and inflated.
The test is pain free, non-invasive, and can determine your risk factors in minutes.
We use a fully portable machine that allows you to come to us and us to come into your workplace when convenient. Each heart screening lasts approximately 30 minutes, involves a complete overview of your heart and artery health and educational information is provided on the importance of improving these metrics.
Offering a heart screening to your staff shows that you care about employee health and are encouraging them to live the healthiest lifestyle possible. We can fully tailor our heart screening package to your business needs, as well as including the full service offered to public bookings.
