Think local: Moore Construction

The construction industry is doing it tough right now, with kinks in the supply chain combined with a market slump for labour.

Local suppliers, always a useful but perhaps undervalued resource, have emerged as heroes, keeping projects moving when the international players are meeting barriers.

One such local superstar is Moore Construction.

A Commercial Piling and Civil Structures Specialist, in collaboration with Hi-Stress Concrete, a pre-stressed concrete supply workshop. They can supply piles, rib and infill, bridge beams, and all manner of precast elements, all over the South Island.

“We have an ever-expanding range of piling and civil equipment and can design and construct all manner of commercial and residential piling,” says Sam Moore.
Their specialties include timber, concrete, and steel driven piles, screw piles, CFA, bored piles (permanent and temporary cased), secant, and sheet piles. As well as piling, recent civil structure products for the team at Moore include, concrete bridges, retaining structures, and stormwater management.

“Our staff are incredible, very experienced and capable. Technical challenges that require problem solving on site and from the management team is what drives us. Successfully completing projects that exceed client expectations is always the goal, and finding clever solutions for problems is one of the ways we can achieve that,” says Sam.
