Excellent food and drinks, great service and an awesome team has led to back-to-back national hospitality awards for a thriving Christchurch suburban tavern.
For the second consecutive year, The Elmwood Trading Co. has beaten record entries to win “Best Local” in New Zealand title in the independently assessed Hospitality New Zealand Awards for Excellence 2022. It also won an “Excellence in Gaming” award.
Owners Marty and Naomi Fuller are justifiably over the moon about their latest triumphs. “We are very grateful to have been judged the best again,” says Marty. “This is recognition of our awesome team, who have been nothing short of amazing over the past year, and the fantastic loyal locals who make The Elmwood what it is.”
He adds they’re delighted to receive the Excellence in Gaming 2022 award as it highlights the fantastic job their staff do and the genuine enjoyment that their loyal locals have with their gaming options.
Marty and Naomi have owned The Elmwood for four years now, creating a welcoming vibe in the beautifully appointed restaurant and bar, garden bar and gaming/TAB areas.
