Spectacular finds: Dusty Old Things

There’s plenty to discover at vintage store Dusty Old Things, who have recently settled into a bright new location on Wairakei Road.

The larger venue means they can stock even more spectacular finds from jewellery to tools and everything in between.

Owner Glenis Parker wants to thank all her new and existing customers for their support during the transition, but it’s still business as usual. “We’re selling a vast range of items,” she says. “Vintage jewellery, clothing, linen, pottery, glassware, collectables, and furniture from all eras.

“A dedicated clothing room also includes hats and fascinators which are great for that ‘one-of-a-kind, individual look for any occasion.’”

Top-selling items are the vintage and retro lights (more arriving late September), home and furniture accessories, and realistic artificial flowers that brighten up any room.

With plentiful parking, popping into the shop at 526 Wairakei Road is easy – you never know what purchases you’ll discover to take home.
