Proud by name and result: Proudfoot Plastering

An entire exterior replaster transformed this earthquake damaged house into a beautiful, healthy home. Greg Proudfoot Plastering worked with other contractors to not only repair this home, but ensure its long-term maintenance – while looking brand spanking new.

Greg and his team were engaged to replaster this ‘90s home in Christchurch – but it was not a straightforward job.

“Before we could start the remediation of the house itself, there were a few building and roofing details which needed to be sorted,” says Greg.

“Attached pergolas were removed, straightened and new brackets put into the wall by Ben Rogatski at Onform Building, who did an outstanding job. The original design didn’t have parapet cappings, external rain heads or an overflow system, so Iain McPhail from DCM Roofing worked his magic adding that as well as custom made saddle flashings and parapet caps.”

When it came to the exterior replaster, Greg says he chose Resene Construction Systems’ RMAXX, a strong and durable coating which was applied entirely by hand before being finished with Rockcote Acrylic Quicksand and Resene X200 Acrylic Paint.

“RMAXX has incredible flexibility with excellent adhesive properties to provide cover and protection to your most important investment,” he says.

Our homes are often our most important assets, so when choosing the right person to make earthquake repairs, track record is imperative.

“We’re really proud of the quality of the work our staff do and the results we continually achieve for our clients.”
