Pointe of difference: On Pointe

Down-to-earth mums and qualified instructors, Lyndal Woodham and Katrina Buchanan, are proud co-owners of On Pointe, a boutique fitness studio that focuses on your health and wellbeing and specialises in Bootybarre , Pilates and yoga. Metropol sat down with the girls to hear more about the barre and wellness studio.

ON THE BENEFITS OF PILATES AND BARRE
“[Pilates is] slow, controlled exercises focusing on breathwork and alignment to achieve long, lean muscles resulting in a body that not only looks good but is strong and mobile. Barre is a faster-paced workout and focuses on small muscle groups that many other forms of workouts don’t target.”

ON THE STUDIO’S PHILOSOPHY
“How people feel at On Pointe is huge for us. We have said from the very beginning that every person who walks through our doors should feel comfortable and completely welcome, no matter what age or fitness ability. We know how intimidating it can be to walk into a gym and feel totally out of place so have always strived to create a warm and welcoming environment.”

IN 2021 YOU’LL FIND…
“More classes! Creating the perfect timetable is something we are always working towards. We have another Six Weeks to Wellness programme starting mid-February. This is a fantastic programme for anyone with goals to better their wellbeing in 2021.
We are working on our next retreat for the second half of the year and also a couple of events here at the studio.”
