Indulge a while: Stay Geraldine

With winter over and the promise of warmer days and long weekends ahead, perhaps you may be thinking of indulging in a little personal pampering.

Just eight kilometres from Geraldine, there is a place where you can de-stress from the world in a
wood-fired hot tub while gazing at the stars.

This is not some fantasy, but the beautiful reality at Fiery Peak Eco-Retreat.

Built just last year, the retreat was designed with the environment in mind. Nestled among trees, you can soak in the stunning views of the mountains and farmland from your plush king bed. Wake up to bird song, and then just relax at the cabin in the sun, or by the fire, or enjoy some of the many activities of the area.

Complimentary bikes are available at the retreat for exploring the countryside, and the nearby roads are quiet for biking or walking. You might like to do a day trip to the Lord of the Rings film site at Mt Sunday, or visit the other delights of the Ashburton Lakes area – Lake Clearwater, Lake Camp, and the Hakatere Conservation Park. Lake Tekapo, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Timaru, and Mt Peel are also not far away.

Numerous restaurants are nearby, or there’s a kitchen and BBQ to cook a meal at your cabin.
Gift vouchers are available including platters, a breakfast/ dinner basket or a honeymooner package.
