In the Hundred Acre Wood: Pooh Bear Live

Grab a hand, a hoof, a pink-ribboned tail, and a big pot of honey, Christopher Robin and his friends are coming to Christchurch.

O n September 22, the James Hay Theatre will become the Hundred Acre Wood.

Aaron Keown, the ‘Walt Disney of Christchurch’ brings us Pooh Bear Live, celebrating 100 years of our favourite honey-loving bear.
“I want to entertain people. To give audiences something they don’t currently have,” Aaron mentions.

He describes the show as nothing less than “stepping into the pages of a book,” the A.A. Milne classic. Aaron, who has visited Milne’s house and the Hundred Acre Wood himself, was, understandably, the right man for the job. He says the show blends comedy and a strong storyline to bring a high-quality, high energy performance. Taking inspiration from the Kiwi Shrek director, Andrew Adamson, Aaron has crafted material “that kids love and adults enjoy.”

With various magic tricks, illusions, songs, dance routines, and a few new characters along the way, this life-size show is set to become a revitalised imagining of the story we know and love.

The show is selling fast, so get your tickets now.
