Homegrown style and service: Barb’s Place

After 14 years running their boutique homestay in Waipara, Barb and Geoff Taylor’s reputation as excellent hosts is solid.

Barb’s Place is a homely BnB in the heart of the Canterbury wine-growing region and under an hour from Christchurch International Airport.

The couple will cook up a country-style dinner for guests and suggest a lovely local wine to accompany it.

Geoff is the master of the cooked ‘Kiwi’ breakfast, including home-produced eggs, honey and jams.

They also have a large and beautiful garden for relaxing. For guests with a dog that’s in need of a break, Barb’s Place is pet-friendly too.

You can make the most of Geoff’s in-depth local knowledge and book a wine tour with sommelier, Barb.
