Great tastes and good spaces combine: The One Next Door

Wine and cheese, rugby and beer, some things simply work better together. Good pairing is where one part brings out the best in the other. This sentiment holds true for people and spaces.

When a commercial space in need of a culinary make-over became available, the owners of Little River Café, Cam Gordon, Jessica Morrison, and Claire Cameron dove in feet first, saying ‘yes’ to the address. The result? An elegantly retro restaurant, affectionately named ‘The One Next Door’.

If you’re passing through Banks Peninsula, or are a welcome regular, you will know the drill. Head inside, unwind and allow the friendly staff, and mouth-watering food to bring out your best holiday vibes. Enjoy delicious new taste combinations regularly, with exciting seasonal menu pairing variations such as refreshing ‘Tequila-cured’ Akaroa Salmon, and tangy                                  tempura-broccoli sides.

Order a cold glass of anything that tantalises you from the enticing drinks menu, chill on a beanbag on the deck outside, and enjoy the stunning surrounding views, occasionally accompanied by live music. Whatever you do, don’t rush. It’s worth savouring The One Next Door’s appetising food in this new, relaxing environment.

Open Friday 3pm-10pm.
Saturday 12pm-10pm.
Sunday 12pm-8pm.
