Furniture for your outdoor: Kenneally Timber

The landscaping is complete, the lawn is looking lovely, and the sun is shining. All that is needed is the perfect set of outdoor furniture to put a bit of holiday into every day.

If you’re an entertainer you’ll want a table that seats up to 10, and a drinks trolley. Your turn for the class barbeque will call for bench seating to fit them all in. Supervising the children beside the pool requires a sunlounger or two, and those endless summer afternoons will see a swing chair under the old macrocarpa tree constantly occupied. If serenity is your happy place, a coffee table and comfy chair is your home base.

Of course, you’ll want your outdoor settings to look beautiful, as well as be durable and low maintenance. Nothing but kwila timber will do, with its good-looking grain and its high oil content, which makes it practically impervious to weather and threats from insects. But where to source the perfect pieces when the news about international freighting is all bad?

The team at Kenneally Timber Products are way ahead of you, launching their collection with four containers stacked full of top quality kwila outdoor settings.
“We believe we have the biggest range of kwila available in New Zealand, and we happily send it all around the country,” says owner Declan Kenneally.

The collection is available to view at Kenneally’s new purpose-built showroom on Blakes Road in Belfast, just a short trip from Christchurch up the northern motorway or Main North Road. “If you’re interested in kwila settings, you will need to move on this, because the quality and the value for money means our onshore stock will sell quickly,” says Declan.

Every piece comes with a five-year guarantee. A once-a-year oiling will keep the pieces looking great, or you can allow them to silver off to a mellow finish if that is more your style. The team are experts with a great deal of knowledge about the range, and every client receives personalised service to ensure they get the pieces that suit their lifestyle.

“Our clients are everyone from people furnishing their own homes and baches to professional landscapers, hospitality settings, and we wholesale to commercial clients too,” says Declan.

The vast range of tables and chairs can be mixed and matched and the furniture comes flat packed with some assembly required. Tables are rectangular, round, folding, some come with a lazy susan or umbrella hole built in, and are available in settings with two chair options.

The Kenneally’s are fourth generation timber merchants and are thrilled to be diversifying into outdoor living. “We moved from Kaiapoi into our new premises in Belfast this year, and opened the showroom. Early next year, we are adding decking and landscaping displays across our 90-metre frontage,” says Declan.

Our new website is live and showcases the range, as well as the traditional timber products Kenneally’s has always supplied. They have structural timbers, hardwood decking and a large range of profiled timber including weatherboards, panelling, flooring, skirting, architrave and mouldings.

They also supply native, exotic, and imported rough sawn timber, and can arrange machining to your requirements.

Open six days a week, Kenneally’s new premises is efficient, the yard is fully sealed, and the staff are quick and hands-on. The bright new showroom is a treasure trove of kwila furniture products with parking at the door. Visit the team and secure your own holiday, every day.
