Is it dessert? Is it a cocktail? We’re pretty sure mum won’t quibble with the semantics when you present her with this delicious, chocolatey treat.

Ingredients:

  • 60ml vodka (vanilla or chocolate vodka)
  • 30ml chocolate liqueur
  • 30ml Irish cream liqueur
  • 30ml cream
  • Ice cubes, 2 or 3

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, chocolate liqueur, Irish cream, and the cream.
  2. Add ice cubes and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds, until frothy and well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled glass. Top with chocolate shavings, a dusting of cocoa powder, or a small mini chocolate truffle on the rim for presentation.

Tips:

  • Use heavy cream for a richer, more decadent texture.
  • Add a dash of vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavour.
  • Pairs beautifully with chocolate desserts, truffles, or biscotti.
