Cheddar and Gherkin Twists: Gordon’s Pickles


Gordon’s ‘Ready to Rage’ Gherkin Relish adds a lovely sweetness and tang to these double cheese twists. Serve warm while the cheeses are still slightly melted.

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp flour
400g pre-rolled flaky pastry
125g gouda, grated
150g aged cheddar, grated
3 Tbsp Gordon’s ‘Ready to Rage’ Gherkin Relish
½ teaspoon ground smoked paprika
1 egg, whisked
1 Tbsp white sesame seeds
1 Tbsp poppy seeds

Method:

Preheat oven to 190 deg C and line two baking trays with baking paper. Cut pastry in half lengthways. Spread Gordon’s ‘Ready to Rage’ Gherkin Relish over one half, cover with grated cheese and smoked paprika. Place the remaining pastry on top and roll out.

Brush the pastry with whisked egg and sprinkle with seeds. Cut into strips, twist and place on the trays. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
