Built of Tough Stuff: KWNZ & CKC

If you are looking for a complete concrete package from bare ground to the finished article, you really can’t go past Canterbury Kerb and Concrete (CKC) and KerbworxNZ (KWNZ).

These two entities are sister companies based in Christchurch and they operate together to provide concreting and kerbing services and products to commercial and domestic customers all over the South Island.
“Subdivision concrete packages are our forte,” says company owner Alan Judd. “They are the perfect canvas for us to demonstrate our complete package and our versatility. With kerb and channel work to do, as well as traffic islands, footpaths, car parks and even pedestrian thresholds we can use a range of concreting materials and techniques to complete all works hassle free for our clients.”

The company has left its permanent mark on several subdivisions lately, including Halswell Downs, Barton Fields Lincoln and Prestons Park – a five year ongoing project. Retail spaces – Merivale Mall and the Northlink Shopping Hub – as well as schools, have all experienced the CKC team’s concreting magic with aesthetically pleasing exposed aggregate and coloured concrete. “The Haeata Community Campus at Aranui was a particularly complex project with a range of different coloured concrete patterns required in the design.”

CKC also carries out complete concreting works on residential properties and on rural lifestyle developments. A stunning new aerial video loaded onto the CKC website gives a comprehensive picture of the company’s capability and of its latest projects.
