Boh’s designer bed
Singer-songwriter Boh Runga becomes the star of this designer bed campaign to raise funds for Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand.
Each year, Sealy New Zealand supports the country’s foremost breast cancer education and awareness organisation by collaborating with iconic Aotearoa creatives through the creation of a bespoke bed. This year’s bed was designed by one of New Zealand’s most recognisable names in music and design, Boh Runga, frontwoman of multi-platinum best-selling band stellar* and founder of the successful Boh Runga Jewellery brand whose collections draw heavily on native flora and fauna. From 21 to 31 October, New Zealanders have been able to bid on TradeMe for the one-of-a-kind bed designed by Boh.
Beautiful feather bows are at the heart of the design, inspired by Boh Runga’s signature feather motif, paying tribute to the BCFNZ Pink Ribbon. A ‘feather kisses’ sterling silver pendant embellishes and is permanently sewn into the bed label, wishing sweet dreams for many years to come.
