Aiding scholastic vision: Anstice Optometrists

With the new school year fast approaching, now is the time to book in for an annual Schoolvision® assessment.

How our eyes work together can affect how we read, with words and letters shifting order, and sending confused messages to the brain, causing difficulties in reading and spelling.

In addition, as part of the annual health check, any signs of myopia (short-sightedness) need to be monitored, and a plan established to slow down any myopia progression. Signs to look out for are holding books and devices too close to the face, squinting when looking afar, experiencing headaches after television or distance viewing, eye rubbing, and fatigue.

The team at Anstice Optometrists are highly skilled at working with evolving eyes, and developing the best outcomes for your child’s vision. With more indoor school time looming, now is the time to address any concerns.
