Cup Week Calendar – Riccarton Park & Addington Raceway
What’s on during Canterbury’s favourite time of year, New Zealand Cup Week.
Riccarton Park starts the pre-party off with a roar of racing, fashion, food, and entertainment on Saturday 7 November, Barneswood Farm NZ 1000 Guineas Day, the after party with Sean Hill and Rollestxn Ave. Then there’s just two days to recharge before thousands flock to witness Tuesday’s Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day at Addington Raceway.
Riccarton Park’s TAB Mile Day follows on Wednesday 11 November, promising the same excitement, glamour and outstanding racing. Make this your moment to get the girls together and catch The Ned Fashion in the Field competition heats.
Take Thursday to enjoy the city and hopeful sunshine, before Addington’s Show Day races follow with their own flair on Friday 13 November, where the action continues with a relaxed and vibrant afternoon. It’s the perfect way to ease into the final day of celebration at Riccarton Park on Saturday 14 November.
Martin Collins NZ Cup and Al Basti Equiworld NZ 2000 Guineas Day 2026 promises a wonderful finale. Anchored by their brand new pavilion, this is the culmination of three magnificent days at Riccarton Park, and five days of Cup Week entertainment between the two world-class racecourses.

Addington Raceway’s Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day on Tuesday 10 November begins at 11am, where the Kirin Hyoketsu Infield returns after making its spectacular debut in 2025. It’s the ultimate party destination with a festival-like atmosphere. Musicians General Lee, Beccie B, and Tizza keep the atmosphere pumping throughout the day, while Savage returns to headline for another year, alongside Lee Mvtthews taking the stage after the last race. Riccarton Park’s three days of party continues through to fashion coordinator Zane Tate’s fashion competition on 11 and 14 November. Renowned judges for Wednesday’s TAB Mile include STORM creative director Deborah Caldwell, Prix de Fashion winner and local racing fashion icon Katie Flett, and business owner and vintage fashion aficionado Apryl Anthony. If the judging panel is anything to go by, this could be one of Riccarton Park’s best style showcases yet.
