“People would visit us and invariably, on seeing the picturesque gardens around our house, would comment that it would be a beautiful venue to hold a wedding. So that’s how Little Lake Weddings began,” say Jo and Howie Fearn.

It’s easy to see why these comments were made. Right in front of the house, (which can be hired for the day and overnight for the bride and groom), is the most charming little lake. It’s surrounded by native and exotic trees, shrubs and flowering plants, and dotted around the grounds are quirky sculptures and other artworks. An old wooden boat perched on the edge of the lake simply cries out to be a focal point in a wedding photo shoot.

Little Lake is perfect for intimate small weddings for up to 50 guests. Share your vows under the wisteria-covered archway in front of the lake or with a backdrop of the Port Hills in the distance while your guests watch on from the lawn in front of the house.
