Homemade chocolate truffles

Making your own creamy chocolate truffles could not be easier. Add a bit of butter to make them extra creamy.

Ingredients

225g of 70% dark chocolate
2/3 cup cream
1 Tbsp softened butter
1 Tsp pure vanilla essence

Method

  1. Warm the cream, and pour it over the chopped chocolate.
  2. Let the cream and chocolate sit for a few minutes before stirring.
  3. Stir until the chocolate is melted.
  4. Refrigerate about 1-2 hours until the mixture is set.
  5. Roll into balls coat with sprinkles, coconut, chopped nuts, or cocoa powder.

TIPS
Use milk chocolate for sweeter truffles or semi-sweet/dark chocolate for extra rich truffles.
If using milk chocolate, reduce the cream to 1/2 cup as milk chocolate is much softer than dark chocolate.
