With the chill well and truly here for a while, sticking to your training routine or healthy eating plan, typically becomes tough, especially when the winter blues settle in.

It’s no secret that comfort food cravings kick in when the mercury drops, and it’s all too easy to lose track of your fitness goals – and waistline – when you’re buried under warm winter coats or working from home in cosy trackies. Invest more time in your warm-up
When the temperature drops our bodies need a little more time to warm up to get the most out of your workout, and avoid injury.

Find a buddy
Nothing beats a gym buddy to keep you motivated and accountable, especially when it’s too easy on a freezing cold morning to stay under your duvet.

Dress for success
Feeling unmotivated? Why not treat yourself to a new activewear outfit, or pair of trainers. You’ll feel like you need to get out and sweat to give them a trial run – and show them off.
