Hosts Marty and Naomi, renowned for their gregarious bonhomie to all patrons, take great pride in providing a quality experience in relaxation, dining and entertainment.
No wonder, then, that The Elmwood Trading Company won the 2021 National Award for Excellence as New Zealand’s Best Local, and deservedly so. Customer service here is paramount, and it shows.
As a function venue, for any family occasion or celebratory event, or for conferences and seminars, it scores top marks, while quiz nights and fundraisers are mighty crowd pleasers.
“We’re revamping and refreshing our menu, which is exciting, as our chef excels in creating gourmet food, backed by a highly skilled team,” Marty says.
Add in the big screens for sports fans, the TAB and Gaming Room, as well as the outdoor area for quiet time out, and everyone is catered for.
“We’re all about community – participation, sponsorship, supporting schools, sporting clubs and organisations. We’re a local like no other, and our award reminds us of that every day,” Marty says.
