When the world wobbles: Chris Korako of Inspire Me Women

Connection is the new certainty, writes Chris Korako of Inspire Me Women.

It’s hard to ignore the complexity of the world right now. I can’t control it but I can control how I respond to it. We are living through a time when economies are shifting in real time; strategic rivalry between major powers; ongoing conflicts, and competition over resources, energy and technology all continue to ripple outward and affect us all.

I am maintaining a long-term perspective, adapting to navigate uncertainty. I’ve planted winter veggies, plugged in my electric car, I’m learning about artificial intelligence, and working from home as much as possible.

That brings me to my next point: the value of connection. Connection is vital to how we feel and respond to everyday life. Vital as a critical buffer against stress, anxiety, and loneliness. I can’t tell you the amount of times that I have shared a personal concern, problem or challenge with people. The outcome has been incredible because of the combined diversity of thought, with creative solutions and far better outcomes.

When everything external feels unpredictable, relationships become our anchor. A conversation, a shared challenge, laugh, cuppa (or wine), can lift our spirits and centre us. Small, human moments of care, empathy and shared experiences keeps us from fracturing when the world feels fragile.

That’s what Margie Foster and I do through our work. We bring women together to connect, inspire, thrive and rise together. We love making time to reach out to someone, connect with someone, support someone.

We encourage you to say yes to opportunities that fill your cup and give you a sense of belonging. Built consistently, connections become powerful over time. They open doors to opportunity, lasting friendships and far greater outcomes. Create your own momentum to move forward with purpose and possibility.

Wishing you a month full of energy, inspiration, and meaningful connections.
