Truth or dare Waimakariri


We’ve all played this game at some point, as and when the thrill of the unknown speaks to the adventurer in each of us.

Players either share a secret or are challenged to an inventive dare. Notwithstanding its mischievous overtones, Truth or Dare is a playful call to action, that many of the thriving towns in the Waimakariri evoke.
Enjoy a multitude of biking and tramping trails with varying levels of difficulty, and make wonderful memories in any of the many campsites throughout the Waimakariri District Council’s reserves, and beyond.
The main towns of Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Oxford, and Woodend, are each bursting with opportunities for family holiday exploits, romantic getaways, and active fun. October is a busy month, with many special events scheduled also. Check these out:

14 October
Election Day Market at Loburn School
8am—12pm, 73 Hodgsons Rd.
Cast your vote at the school, and then enjoy the delights of a country market day with delicious food, market stalls, games, and bargains galore.

15 October
THE VINTAGE FAIR NORTH CANTERBURY
11am—3pm, Rangiora Racecourse,
312 Lehmans Rd, Rangiora.
A world of nostalgia and charm at this enchanting Vintage Fair, where treasures from yesteryear come alive. Immerse yourself in a tapestry of vintage fashion, antique collectibles, and timeless home décor.

28 October
WOODFORD GLEN FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
6.30pm—10pm, Woodford Glen,
39 Doubledays Road, Kaiapoi
Pack a picnic tea or indulge in a range of food options
as a family, and enjoy the racing from 6.30pm, then when darkness falls prepare yourself for one of Canterbury’s
best fireworks displays.

31 October
SPOOKTACULAR
4pm—7.30pm, Kaiapoi Park, Smith Street, Kaiapoi
Gather the family and make the most of an exciting evening hosted by Kaiapoi Promotions Association; action aplenty with fun, games, dress-ups and giveaways to be had.
