Shakespeare classic comes to life: Top Dog Theatre
Top Dog Theatre returns to the Isaac Theatre Royal next month with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Running from 11 to 13 August, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Shakespeare’s brilliant fast-paced romantic comedy, brimming with interwoven plots of romance, love potions, songs, dances, and practical jokes to delight and entertain the audience.
With live music and circus acrobatics, this will be everything you hope for, and all performed for you under the beautiful ITR dome, an incredible Shakespearience for all ages.
Matinee shows have a mild adult theme and are recommended for age 13+, while the evening adult shows feature adult themes and coarse language, and are recommend for age 16+.
Founder and director of Top Dog Theatre, Derek Doddington says he is certain that audiences will be delighted with the modernised script and gender-swapped casting, accompanied by the addition of some exceptional circus performers.
“We will delight you all beyond your wildest dreams. This production intends to stand up and make a statement,” he adds.
