Making dreams come true: Clyne and Bennie

A dream renovation includes the process as well as the outcome.

A fter hunkering down and concentrating on the cosy, the expanding light and warmth of spring turns our thoughts to home improvement. It would be nice if renovations proceeded as organically as the change of seasons. If you choose the right contractor, they will.

Continuity of service for over 65 years and an expanding range of trades in-house mean you can’t go past Clyne and Bennie for all bathroom, kitchen, and laundry renovations or new builds. Their website shows the sheer variety of bathroom fittings and tapware, with pricing.

“We have a consultation meeting with customers and discuss budget and the style of bathroom they like,” says Director Martin De Gouw. “It can be as simple as replacing fixings, to reconfiguring, tiling floors and tiling showers, all assisted with upfront.”

As well as their original plumbing and drainlaying services, the team have added gasfitting, electrical, and heating services and supply. Changing over to continuous flow hot water or mains pressure heat pumps is a team specialty.

When it comes to new kitchens, often your joiner doesn’t provide the subcontractors. At Clyne and Bennie “One call does it all,” says Martin, “we connect to a team of experts across sectors in the building trade, we have the relationships to bring in others to take the hassle completely out of your renovation.”

When you choose Clyne and Bennie, you are not just working with a great team in the moment, you also get benefits that only years of experience can offer.

They bring a depth of knowledge about products and installation that you will struggle to find elsewhere. For example, Martin offers this advice about tap ware choice. “There is now a huge range of coloured metal finishes available in tapware, and the fashion is for black and dark coloured taps. Our experience has shown that here in Canterbury we have really hard water, and customers are ending up with staining on their beautiful new taps. They are lovely to look at and work really well in softer water.

“If your heart is set on darker tapware, we can fit filtration and treatment options that will save your asset. Plus for health reasons, if you are on a rural water supply the filtration and treatment should be at the front of mind.”
Clyne and Bennie is totally dedicated to customer satisfaction with the renovation journey as well as the outcome. See the website for comments from very happy clients.
