Love that gin: Humdinger Gin
All you need is love … and gin. So the popular saying goes, and no-one embodies that age-old adage more than Humdinger Gin creators Andrew and Saskia Lewis, pictured above, of Geraldine.
Celebrating two years, in September, since its inception, Humdinger Gin is proving to be a popular success in the awards game, and with a continually increasing fan base.
Last month it expanded further, signing with distriubution company Kahurangi Estate to distribute its gin nationwide.
Quality is the key, explains Andrew. That, and its close proximity, just two hours away, to Christchurch.
“We’re ideally situated for a day visit from Christchurch, and fast gaining a reputation as a destination distillery. Our big glass doors allow visitors to experience our gin, and learn about the processes in a very transparent way.”
“We have won medals in every competition, and every one of our gins entered has won a medal,” he explains.
Those same award-winning gins are now available as corporate gifts, for use in Christmas gift boxes and for gin aficionados everywhere. Cheers.
