Local Lincoln gem: The Sparrow
Serving refined fusion flavours, this neighbourhood eatery is already a firm favourite.
Just seven months ago, The Sparrow spread its wings in the heart of Lincoln and is already a dining destination making locals proud. Born from the success of its sister restaurant Amore in Halswell, this is where fine dining meets the charm of a small community.
Inspired by Lincoln’s natural beauty and farmland, The Sparrow has a farm-to-table focus, partnering with local growers and suppliers to bring the best seasonal produce, fresh meats, and quality ingredients straight to the plate.
Led by head chef Tej in the kitchen and front-of-house expert Karam Malhi, the dinner menu is a refined fusion of exotic and international flavours.
“For us, it’s about more than just dining, it’s about connection. We want our guests to taste the freshness of Canterbury in every plate, paired with the rich flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East, all brought together with a delicate touch of Asian creativity,” say Tej and Karam. Weekends offer a house-made Italian lunch menu while happy hour from Tuesday to Sunday invites guests to relax with bar snacks, selected house wines, and beer. Families are welcomed too, with a thoughtfully designed kids’ play area that makes dining out enjoyable for everyone.
More than a restaurant, The Sparrow is where community, cuisine, and hospitality come together.
