Listen to the music

Four days of outstanding classical, jazz and Taonga Pūoro performances will brighten Queenstown this Easter.

From 15 to 18 April, the Whakatipu Music Festival will be held at the Queenstown Memorial Centre and other venues, showcasing music from Aotearoa’s leading musicians, emerging artists, and local talent.

Madeleine Pierard (soprano), Robin Wilson (violin) and Stephen de Pledge (piano) are among those who will take
the stage.

Joining them will be contemporary quartet Tararua showcasing Taonga Pūoro and a dozen talented emerging artists. Local musicians and ensembles will also share the centre stage.

The festival, brought to life by a local workforce, supports and stimulates the arts, cultural and events scene in the Queenstown region. Head to the Whakatipu Music Festival website for more details and to pre-register for tickets.
