Leather weather
Leather is back (again) – but not as you know it. The fashionable regular is making itself known as a wardrobe must-have, but this time around on the trend cycle it is reinvented as statement separates.
Trendsetters tipped leather separates to be one of the defining looks of 2021, and the fashion forecast was spot on.
Or, as the Independent’s Olivia Petter wrote after London Fashion Week, “Whatever we’re doing in autumn, designers say we’ll be doing it in leather.”
Or, more specifically, in leather blazers, leather pants, leather tops and leather shorts in hues of black, tan, camel, cream and adorned with embellishments.
But don’t let the term “separates” fool you, these separates are made to be worn together.
Pair leather coats with leather pants, leather skirts with leather tops – and leather accessories with every/any thing.
Or, mix with your favourite ribbed tanks and tees, cashmere and woollen sweaters, and floaty feminine blouses and frocks.
