Honoured by Award

Thanks to hard work, attention to detail, and a truly collaborative effort, the team at Christchurch’s Eternodesign scooped three National Kitchen and Bathroom Association (NKBA) 2018 awards.

Renowned for kitchen and bathroom design, and bespoke soft furnishings, the Merivale-based company won the Creative Excellence Award, and was recognised as runner-up in the Supreme Bathroom of the Year and Canterbury Bathroom of the Year categories.
All three prizes were presented for work on a stunning master ensuite project that has all the touches of an exclusive hotel.
The spacious, yet functional bathroom features grand floating oval mirror cupboards, Corian oval sinks, a black Italian porcelain tiled wall, a vanity bench top and subtle lighting to add softness.

Interior architect Emma Morris wanted to create a bathroom that exuded elegance and sophistication. “It’s unique in its bold collaboration of bespoke design cabinetry, high-gloss black lacquer finish, and hidden power points in the drawers to keep the tops clean and uncluttered. The materials and finishes were carefully chosen to incorporate and capture the beauty of the home’s various spaces.”
To be recognised at the prestigious awards, was a “real honour”, says Emma, noting she couldn’t have done it without her amazing team. “These awards are a collaborative effort, working with wonderful clients who have a certain vision and give you creative control to create these wonderful interior spaces. We work with a wonderful team of builders, joiners, benchtop manufacturers, and various other trades to help bring our vision to a reality.”
