Game on Canterbury: Ross Steele
Over the past few weeks, our team has been returning to the office, refreshed and looking forward to the year ahead.
We’ve already held our first event for 2023, and more are planned over the coming the weeks, including an event we are particularly excited to see get underway – Game On Canterbury.
Taking place on Sunday 19 February, Game On Canterbury is a first for Ōtautahi Christchurch – a new event aimed at showcasing the sport and active recreation activities in our city, and encouraging people to sign in, join up and get active.
I’ve spoken previously about the responsibility we feel towards our community. As a regeneration project for the city, we acknowledge the role we have in supporting the growth and success of our city and its residents – and not just through economic impact.
Game On Canterbury is one of those ways we can give back. We’ve partnered with a local company to get this underway, attracting local sports and organisations for the benefit of local residents.
There’s a big focus on fun, and there will be plenty of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to try something new, or simply enjoy a day out with their whanau.
We hope you’ll come down and check it out.
