Forecasters say we are in for a dry hot summer: Readylawn

Lovely for holidays, but there will be major implications for our lawns. Fortunately, we can call on the help of local lawn guru Roger Morgan.

Roger is owner of Readylawn, a third-generation family business here in Christchurch. What Roger and brother Craig, and Roger’s sons Alex and Josh don’t know about turf, really isn’t worth knowing. The team have created a website at www.lawnlife.co.nz to share their knowledge with you. Their Maintenance Calendar is the perfect guide and starting point. They answer frequently asked questions about fertiliser types and timing, and offer their tailored range of quality products, including seed, all at warehouse prices. “The Summer Lawncare pack is the perfect and straightforward way to get everything you need to support your lawn this summer,” says Roger.

Having completed the remediation of Lancaster Park a couple of years ago, the team suggests a visit to the venue to see the freshly restored iconic heritage gates. “The gates are the only evidence left of the parks amazing history. They will be reopened ready for Armistice Day on 11 November. Council has also installed an informative park history narrative at the Heritage Gates, and are now installing native planting and landscaping,” says Roger.
