Feel good and relax
One of the best things you can do to improve your wellbeing is relax, from time to time.
Relaxing for just five minutes periodically, or longer at times, will help diminish stress levels, and re-energise mind and body.
Exercise also helps and it is possible to combine the two. Think about sitting down and relaxing in front of the television. Numerous exercises and simple beauty routines can be done from a sitting position.
Here are some suggestions from Metropol:
- Apply hand lotion. Keep a tube handy so that when you’re watching your favourite shows you can also keep your hands soft and supple.
- Moisturise feet and legs, then put your feet up and relax.
- Try progressive muscle relaxation (tighten and relax your muscles throughout your body).
- Add a few simple exercises such as arm stretches, buttock clenching and leg lifts, all of which can be done from a sitting position.
- Soak in a foot bath, then moisturise feet, put cotton socks on and relax.
- Sip a cup of calming chamomile tea.
