Fashion meets function: The Shoe Room

In our youth, discomfort from poorly made shoes was par for the course. But with maturity and wisdom, we value the shoe that combines the aesthetic with the practical.

The standout shoes that are super-comfortable are the ones we reach for time and again.

The Shoe Room provides shoes both fashionable and functional. Store owner Charlotte and her team are passionate about footwear and helping people find the right shoe.

“Our staff are trained to measure and fit and offer solutions for problem feet,” Charlotte says. Shoe selection is also customer-based. “Shoe brands and styles are chosen with customer needs in mind – such as ease of fit, depth and width.”

Ziera covers medium to extra-wide fits; podiatrist-designed FRANKiE4 deals to heel, arch and forefoot pain with its Sole-Hero-Footbed, and Revere’s additional adjustments ensure a perfect fit.

A medical range of shoes with features such as seamless stretchy tops, a range of widths, and ease of access are also available, along with a great range of slippers.

Charlotte recommends booking an appointment for a personal consultation; however, walk-ins are welcome.

The Shoe Room, at 3/355 Riccarton Road, Christchurch, has ample parking at the rear of the shop. Entry from the carpark makes for convenient shopping.
