Enjoy a purr-fect outing: The Purrfect Ride

Taking a ride gains a whole new meaning when Heather-Leigh Cumming and Allen Cross are behind the wheel. Heather and Allen are cat lovers so it’s no surprise that their company is called The Purr-fect Ride, or that their fleet of luxury limousines are all Jaguars.

From hen parties to weddings, stag nights to Christmas functions, or any special occasion, they always go the extra mile, helping their passengers to create lasting memories.

They regularly travel to Methven, taking passengers for a soak in the hot pools, adding a complimentary massage, and a stop at the Topp Country Café, featuring New Zealand’s iconic Topp Twins.

Every booking is customised, including pick-ups and drop-offs so there are no parking hassles, clients can enjoy a drink, and not have to worry about the driving.

Your journey can be low-key and private, if you wish an intimate atmosphere, or a more lively foray through the social hotspots of Christchurch, if you want to see and be seen.

Pampering is all part of the package, with five gorgeous cars to choose from, and in-car treats bespoke to clients.

“We want people to feel pampered,” says Heather. “A specialty of ours is putting together a bespoke basket, including chocolates, flowers, wine, and food to suit. Just settle in, listen to the deep purr of the engine, and enjoy the passing scenery.”

She and Allen also cater for road trips, family get-togethers, sightseeing, ladies lunches and the like, happy to travel anywhere in the North and South Islands, any time, day or night.

“Imagine on a beautiful day, a spot of sightseeing and a picnic lunch,” suggest Heather. “Or the wineries of Canterbury. They’re hard to beat for lunch and a day out.

“Making memories is the key,” she adds. “It could be a Sunday drive for a Grandad who used to own a Jaguar car. If you want to purr like a kitten or roar like a lion, book a trip in one of our Jaguars.”
