Eco-conscious pet toys: FunDiggityDog

Tired of having tacky plastic scattered around your home after your dog’s playtime?

Luxurious, sustainable, and biodegradable describe locally crafted pet toy brand, FunDiggityDog.

Made from possum pelts, wool, flax, and hemp; FunDiggityDog’s plush toys are of the highest quality. Founder Louise Mackenzie says, “Cross-bred (strong) wool is an amazing natural fibre that is currently so undervalued, which is a sad state, considering it’s 100% renewable and free from microplastics.” Additionally, she explains “the possum ‘pest’ pelts we use also advocate for our endangered endemic and native species”.

Each pet toy is triple-core-bonded with three layers of heavy-duty fabrics and double-stitched, as a minimum, for added strength.

It’s worth noting, that while these toys are sturdily constructed to withstand reasonable doggo engagement and hijinks, they are soft toys and not indestructible. Primarily designed as ‘Connection’ toys, to engage, train, and reward. Louise advises. “We all know dogs just love to learn, and with the correct simple training your dog can quickly come to respect this toy as a valued ‘special’ friend.”

You have the option of choosing to opt in for squeakers or go ‘squeaker-free’ if plastic free is important to you… or simply because your dog goes crazy at the noise!
