Catwalk collections
New Zealand Fashion Week showcased the best of Kiwi labels, old and new, with relaxed silhouettes, plenty of ruffles, and loose, easy-to-wear styles at the forefront.
From flowing maxi skirts to unstructured, lightweight dresses, loose-fitting trousers, and flatter footwear, the looks shifted between androgyny and femininity.
Popping among the neutral hues were shades of pink, bold blues, reds, oranges, and greens ranging from mint to seafoam and sage. Other catwalk trends include metallic accessories, lots of florals, occasional sparkle, and upcycled textiles such as duvets, tablecloths and
crochet doilies.
Designers included Juliette Hogan, Nom*D, Kathryn Wilson, Kate Sylvester, J Bush, Jacqueline Anne, Rory Docherty, Campbell Luke, Kiri Nathan and new generation talent Lydia Paine, Taylor Pumphrey, Dawei Zhang of Dollie Vardin, Jonty Blakely of Vadar, Ayano Hara-Alderson, to name a few.
