A slice of heaven: Full Time Tart


A wedding cake is just as much a symbol of a marriage ceremony as the bride’s dress, with gorgeous confections covered in luscious buttercream taking pride of place.

Helping make that special day complete in Canterbury is cake-maker extraordinaire Sophie Petersen, aka Full Time Tart.

A love of baking and art started Sophie’s cake baking business. Word of mouth soon spread, bookings (and baking) took off, and Full Time Tart was born.

Using fresh local products such as eggs and hazelnuts, Sophie creates delectable cakes to fit all criteria and tastes. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, any other special occasion or even a ladies lunch; and they taste as good as they look.

Can’t decide which flavour? In May Sophie will be releasing ‘taster boxes’ with samples of eight options inside so you can try before you buy.

The autumn taster boxes will be available to purchase via her website.
