A Run With Heart

Ashburton’s Lake Hood is the picturesque location for a run with heart – both figuratively and literally.

One of several events across New Zealand supporting the Heart Foundation, the Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk returns this year on Sunday 12 May 2019! Heart disease is New Zealand’s single biggest killer, claiming the lives of one New Zealander every 90 minutes. The fact that this event corresponds with Mother’s Day is not lost on organisers, with heart disease claiming the lives of more than 3000 women every year.

Jennian Homes has been a loyal supporter of the Heart Foundation for almost a decade, in the fight to stop all people in New Zealand dying prematurely from heart disease and to enable those with heart disease to live full lives.
Now in its eighth year, the run is offering families across the country the chance to have fun on Mother’s Day, get active and support the Heart Foundation along the way. The event will start at 9am on Sunday 12 May and entries include a free t-shirt for each attendee (sizes available will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last).
