Spring florals to style inside
Spring is in bloom, and here’s how to maximise the season’s most popular (and easy to find) florals.
Daffodils
Nothing says spring like daffodils – the thousands that pop up across Hagley Park are a sure sign (and delicious smell) that warmer weather is on its way. Big bunches of various bright daffodils sit pretty on their own in a vase, and the yellow hue is known to boost energy.
Delphiniums
Symbolising an open heart and positivity, folklore says delphiniums ward off negative energy. Their tall blooms make for stunning vase arrangements that last up to 10 days. Avoid direct sunlight and drafts, re-trim ends every three days.
Tulips
A well-styled arrangement of beautiful tulips makes the perfect centrepiece, with natural movement and proportions. Trim stems at a 45-degree angle and let the vase cover at least half the stem height to avoid unnecessary drooping.
Peonies
Just as beautiful in a bouquet as on their own, peonies have an incredibly short but overwhelmingly beautiful season. Pink peonies invite a soothing sense, and look gorgeous with lush greenery to add depth.
Ranunculus
In a vibrant setting, a mixed bouquet of ranunculus, tulips and sweet peas feels just like spring. These lush cloud-like blooms pair best with other fluffy flowers like peonies and garden roses, and structured greenery.
