The body keeps score: The Healer’s Way

When stress goes unprocessed, the emotional tension can be the root of many physical diseases.

“Stress is not just a passing experience; it is something we carry in the body,” says energy healer Nina Campbell of The Healer’s Way.

A certified practitioner of Reiki, acupressure, ThetaHealing technique, and regression therapy, Nina approaches healing with a simple truth: that the body remembers what the mind tries to move past.

“When emotions are not fully processed, they can settle into the body as tension, fatigue, or discomfort,” Nina says. “Over time, this can create energetic blocks that leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Many people notice this as tight shoulders, shallow breathing, or a persistent sense of unease.

In holistic practices, this is understood as the body holding onto unresolved experiences until they are acknowledged and released.”

Supporting yourself begins with awareness, Nina says. “Simple self-healing techniques can make a powerful difference. Slow, conscious breathing helps regulate your nervous system.

Placing a hand on your heart or abdomen can bring a sense of grounding and safety. Gentle movement, stretching, or time in stillness allows stored tension to soften
and unwind.”

Healing doesn’t require force, says Nina. “With presence, compassion, and intention, your body can begin to let go and return to a state of ease, and I can help with that.”
