Christchurch Spring Fashion Festival
When the city becomes a sartorial spectacle from 7 to 9 November for Christchurch’s first Spring Fashion Festival, will you be seated in the front row? Tickets to the packed three-day schedule are selling fast.
Public-facing fashion shows, designer hosted events and inspiring panel talks make up this weekend-long celebration, thanks to a three-year partnership between New Zealand Fashion Week and ChristchurchNZ.
6PM FRIDAY 7 NOV: THE NEW GUARD
Australia and New Zealand’s largest fashion and lifestyle platform, THE ICONIC kicks off the festival in style at the James Hay Theatre with its newest collections from exclusive designers and a curated edit of New Zealand’s next generation of fashion designers.
3PM SATURDAY 8 NOV: CAITLIN CRISP X BONNIE
The only solo designer runway event at the festival, Christchurch-born designer Caitlin Crisp will debut her Resort 2025 collection to a 400+ person crowd at the James Hay Theatre. Models will walk in a glowing layer of beauty thanks to cult-favourite New Zealand-made gradual tanning brand BONNIE.
6.30PM SATURDAY 8 NOV: THE GEORGE PRESENTS THE SPRING EDIT
The ultimate celebration of New Zealand fashion, showcasing coveted in-season looks from leading designers including Juliette Hogan, Kathryn Wilson, Karen Walker, Ruby, Kowtow, and more, curated by NZ Fashion Week’s creative director, Dan Ahwa. Each designer will select their standout pieces of the season, giving audiences a handpicked fashion edit of the looks of the moment.
2PM SUNDAY 9 NOV: BEYOND THE RUNWAY
Join creative director Dan Ahwa and stylist Leigh-Anne Rheeder at Ballantynes for an exploration of the evolution of New Zealand Fashion Week and a live styling masterclass on translating the season’s trends into timeless, wearable looks.
